Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 13, 2025
Version: Beta 1.0
This Privacy Policy describes how HexaForge ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information during the beta testing phase of our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Beta Testing Phase
HexaForge is currently in beta testing. This privacy policy reflects our current data practices. As we move toward full release, we may introduce analytics, backend services, and other features that will require updates to this policy. You will be notified of any changes through an in-app notification.
What We Currently Collect (Beta Version)
Local Device Storage Only
During the beta phase, HexaForge stores all game data locally on your device using:
- AsyncStorage: For storing game preferences, settings, and progress
- File System (FS) Module: For storing game assets and save files
✓ All data remains on your device
✓ No data is transmitted to external servers
✓ You have complete control over your data
What We DON'T Collect (Currently)
We have no backend servers, no analytics integration, and no third-party tracking in the beta version.
Third-Party Services
HexaForge beta does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs. Your gameplay experience is completely offline and private.
Data Storage and Security
All game data is stored locally on your device and is protected by your device's security measures. We recommend:
- Keeping your device password-protected
- Using your device's built-in encryption features
- Regularly backing up your device if you want to preserve game progress
Note: If you uninstall the app or clear app data, your game progress will be lost as it is stored locally.
Future Updates & Features
As HexaForge transitions from beta to full release, we may introduce:
- Backend Services: Cloud save functionality, leaderboards, and multiplayer features
- Analytics: To understand how players use the game and improve the experience
- Crash Reporting: To identify and fix bugs more effectively
- Optional Advertisements: To support free gameplay (if implemented)
- Account System: For cross-device play and social features
We'll Notify You
Before implementing any of these features, we will update this privacy policy and notify you through an in-app notification popup when you update the app. You will have the opportunity to review the changes before continuing to use HexaForge.
Children's Privacy
HexaForge is designed to be family-friendly. Since we do not collect any personal information during the beta phase, children can safely play the game. However, we recommend parental guidance for children under 13. If we introduce features that collect personal information in the future, we will comply with all applicable children's privacy laws.
Your Rights and Control
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Delete Data: Uninstall the app or clear app data through your device settings
- Control Access: Manage app permissions in your device settings
- Backup Data: Use your device's backup features to preserve game progress
- Opt-Out: Since we don't collect data, there's nothing to opt out of currently
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as HexaForge evolves from beta to full release. When we make significant changes, especially those affecting how we collect or use data, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
- Increment the version number
- Display an in-app notification popup when you next open the app after updating
- Provide a summary of key changes in the notification
- Allow you to review the full updated policy before continuing
Your continued use of HexaForge after being notified of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
